Abstract This thesis attempts to enlighten and detect all those factors that have affected and are still affecting the application of the assessment of human resources in Primary Education; that is, the educators and their work in Greece as well as the connection and interaction between the assessment and the Greek education policy. The legislative framework is being mentioned in relevance to the specific matter not only in our country but also in both a European and international level. In addition, through our research data, there is an attempt to connect the responses of the educators in Primary Education -more precisely in the Prefecture of Chania- towards the recent efforts of enforcing a new law which concerns the assessment of the educators (Presidential Decree 152/2013). In general... the educators don't seem to be unfavorable towards the assessment provided that certain parameters will be taken into account. These parameters are considered to play a negative role in both the process of assessment as well as the use of its results.
