Abstract In this work, a rapid and sensitive liquid chromatographic electrospray ionization mass spectrometric (HPLC-ESI-MS/MS) method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of 8 pesticides (Diuron, Simazine, Fenoxycarb, Dimethomorph, Triadimefon, Metalaxyl, Carbaryl and Benalaxyl) in wine samples. For the extraction of samples, SPE cartridges Oasis HLB (200 mg) were used and were extracted with ethylacetate. The enhanced selectivity afforded by the use of electrospray tandem mass spectrometry allowed discrimination between target pesticides that were marginally separated under isocratic conditions.
Mean recoveries ranging from 60% to 90% for most pesticides, with relative standard deviations P&lt10%. Calibration curves were obtained for all analytes and displayed good linearity between 25 and 500 ng/ml depended on the pesticide, with correlation coefficients higher than 0,9950. Detection and quantitation limits were satisfactory.
The method was applied to analyze wine samples from North, Central and South Greece and from the abroad.
