Abstract

The end of the post-Cold War period changed the balance of power on the international stage and the states increasingly sought peace. Their goal was to achieve security and end conflicts. A major problem that needed to be addressed urgently was the management of the external borders of both the European Union and each state individually with advanced technological means. Proper management of the situation would reduce cross-border problems such as illegal immigration, organized crime and terrorism. Greece also suffered from these threats, which is trying to deal with them in the best possible way.
