Abstract

The purpose of this research work is the design, implementation and evaluation of interactive educational material (E.M.) with the methodology of distance education for the teaching of the Greek alphabet to Roma students DG - STH elementary school. In particular, the purpose of creating the E.M. is not to be self-sufficient, but to function in a complementary way, in order to enhance the attendance of Roma students in school and to reduce school dropout, and at the same time to strengthen their self-esteem. Also, the E.M. is primarily a transformation of conventional material into a remote. For its implementation, the principles of educational material design formulated by the theorists in the field of Distance Learning were applied and the h5p digital tool and the Chamilo platform were utilized. For the valuation of E.M. 2 qualitative surveys were conducted by deliberate sampling. More specifically, the E.M. was evaluated by 5 Distance Learning experts through an open questionnaire and by 7 students through semi-structured interviews. Qualitative content analysis was used for data processing. The results of the investigations showed that the E.M. It was easy to use, interactive, enjoyable and in line with the principles of Distance Learning.
