In the present dissertation an attempt is made to study the attitudes and perceptions of the teachers of Primary education and the perspectives of the use of ICT, not only in the last decades in general but also in the "covid era". Thus, through the theoretical and research part, teachers' views on the use of ICT in preschool education are approached, in Greece and more specifically in Crete. In the first part of this dissertation, a theoretical approach on the topic consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with an introduction and clarification of the terms concerning New Technologies and education. In the second chapter there is a brief review of the time of introduction of ICT in Greek schools, and at the same time a report of the most important pedagogical benefits from their integration in the field of education, as are presented indicative and software in foreign languages and Greek concerning the teaching of Language and Mathematics in preschool age. In the third chapter the key point is the reference to the coronavirus pandemic as it was also described as an "urgent online teaching", a completely new educational situation where this new condition is a new venture that provides a temporary solution to access education. In the fourth part of the essay, researches from the Greek and foreign bibliography related to ICT in Primary education are presented and commented followed by the teachers' views on the integration of ICT in the teaching practice. The survey was conducted in the winter of 2022 and 94 questionnaires were answered by Primary education teachers. The important findings of the research involves the positive attitude of teachers towards new technologies and the recognition of multiple benefits related to productive teaching, especially in the midst of a pandemic. Finally, the factors that can enhance the effectiveness of the integration of ICT are pointed out, with the ultimate goal of facilitating teachers in synchronous and asynchronous distance education
