Abstract

In the context of the diploma thesis, educational material was developed for the distance education in a web learning environment, aiming at the training of secondary school teachers in the organization of school life in the schools of secondary education and particularly on issues relating to student attendance. This is a Secondary School Student Absence Guide. It is addressed to all teachers, in gymnasium and lyceums, since it is directly related to the absences of students who are registered during the daily program schedule. A survey was conducted on the views of teachers who participated in the training, on the evaluation of the educational material. The results of the research showed that the educational material was highly accepted and fully satisfied all teachers of the sample. The Absence Guide is informative, clear and effective, provides the necessary guidance and feedback that leads the trainees to autonomous learning, offering them a user friendly, harmonious in appearance and friendly training environment. At the same time, the educated teachers were thrilled with this way of training and they expressed their desire to be trained by the distance education method in other issues that are generally related to their educational work.
