Abstract

The current research is about the critical reception of Impressionism in England during the period 1871-1914. Its main object is the search, the record and presentation of the particular historical process through the different aspects of English art. The thesis also examines the multiple layers which have formed and shaped the English art world during the said years, in order to provide a better understanding and comprehending for its main scientific subject.
