Abstract

The aim of the dissertation is to train primary and secondary school teachers in first aid. The purpose is to prepare them for immediate and effective response to emergencies in the school environment as few public schools in Greece are staffed by nursing staff. The use of Information and Communication Technologies is an important factor in improving the quality of the educational process and is an incentive to explore alternative ways of conducting training programs. In the first part of the dissertation there will be a bibliographic review. The theoretical framework on which the creation of the educational material and the research was based is presented. The second part of the paper presents the design and implementation of the research based on 3 key research questions. The aim of this research work through the quantitative method is to investigate the perceptions of teachers of both levels about the distance training program related to the provision of first aid in the school.
