Abstract

The subject of the bachelor paper is the trade union presence in Primary Education. An attempt is made to make a conceptual approach and an extensive record of the concepts of trade unionism and the trade union bodies and processes that structure it as well as the role of trade unionism in the educational community Additionally, an attempt will be made to conceptually define the concept of leadership and its application in the trade union space as it is structured. An application of the above will be made in the field of Primary Education in order to observe and comment on the attitude taken by both trade unionists and non-trade union teachers towards the Ministerial Decisions of 2020, regarding the conduct of elective elections. The method used to answer and draw conclusions from the research questions is the qualitative approach, specifically qualitative research using interviews with 10 non-unionized and 10 unionized teachers. The resulting conclusions open a wide field of discussion for future considerations and improvements.
