Abstract The purpose of the research work was the design, implementation and evaluation of interactive educational material in the academic subject of the national course of Hygiene which is taught at the third grade of vocational high school and in the specialties of health, health care and wellness. From the examined material of the course the thematic section that was selected was “Epidemiology-Infectious Diseases” and interactive material was developed applying the principles of distance learning and utilizing the design principles proposed by the exponents of the Cognitive Theory and Multimedia Learning. Particularly, the purpose of creating the interactive material was to work complementary to conventional education in order to stimulate students’ interest, to enhance the learning process and lead as far as possible to the higher level acquisition of knowledge. The educational material during its design was based on the school manual and constitutes a transformation of conventional material to remote. The interactive content was developed with the help of the digital tool H5P which was integrated of the Chamilo platform. To evaluate it, two qualitative analysis were conducted with purposeful sampling. The first was evaluated by three experts of distance learning, postgraduate students with knowledge of the subject, through an open-ended questionnaire and the second by a group users of a convenience sample that included sixteen students who responded to questionnaire with open-ended questions. To process the data qualitative content analysis was used. From the results of the investigations, it emerged that the educational material was interesting, attractive, easy to use, multi-power and consistent with the principles which was designed. The students declared themselves satisfied with its interactive character, its guiding and facilitating role, and it was suggested to be extended to other didactics as well objects.
