Abstract In the present dissertation the stereoselective enzymatic reductions by using NAD(P)H-dependent isolated ketoreducases were studied for the synthesis of valuable chiral intermediates optically active. Also the chemoenzymatic synthesis of natural products. The fruit during ripening emit a characteristic smell due to volatile esters. The ripe bananas emit ester (S)-2-pentyl (R)-3-hydroxyhexanoate known as Banana volatile, which is a natural product and attracts the common fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster. Isolation and determination of absolute stereochemistry of optically active product, was recently (2009) by Mowat and his team. In the first chapter presents the first synthesis of this natural product chemoenzymatic method. In this method the key step for the creation of two stereogenic centers Biocatalytic transformations include a combination of oxidation-reduction and hydrolytic enzymes. The whole composition consists of four stages and the product synthesized in high yields and high stereoselectivity The most important pests of palm trees are now the Red palm weevil, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (red palm weevil), a giant weevil R. Cruentatus, (giant palm weevil) and the African weevil R. Phoenix (African palm weevil). The second chapter presents the chemoenzymatic synthesis of pheromones Ferrugineol, Cruentol and Phoenicol, which are aggregation pheromones produced by male insects Rhynchophorus spp. The composition was used as the key enzymatic reaction with isolated reduction ketoredouktases for stereoselective reduction of 1.3-diketoesteron.
