Abstract |
The purpose of this assignment is the study of the new reproductive technologies in the light of the feminist bioethics and Kantian ethics. Feminist bioethics first appeared in 1990 and form a new field of scientific research with different scientific and theoretical approaches. It focuses on issues related to the gender dimension of autonomy and justice while critically examining contemporary issues of scientific achievements. It is defined by the search of changing social relationships, characterized by human dominance and submission which hinder the exercise of freedom, while taking into account the problems of society worldwide. In fact, it highlights autonomy and justice in relation to the position of women in new technologies , studying the impacts on human life and specifically the lives of women , arguing that new biomedical technologies lead to the instrumentalization of women. At the same time Kantian ethics is studied, as reflected by the German philosopher and scientist Immanuel Kant at the end of the 18th century . Kant delivered his ethics with benchmark the concepts of liberty and the autonomy of will . Attempting to reduce the issue of new reproductive technologies in Kantian ethics, one realizes that these new methods affect the autonomy of women and for this reason are considered reprehensible.
