Abstract Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) using computers and software play a dominant role in everyday life, including education. This research is mainly focused on one specific category of ICTs: digital game. The research is quantitative, questionnaires were given to undergraduate students of the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics of the University of Crete in order to examine whether the digital game can become a valuable tool for Mathematics teachers in Secondary and not only Education, what are the ideal conditions to utilize it, what is the framework on which this project will be based and at the same time what are the risks that lurk in this project. The results of this research supports the use of digital games in Mathematics teaching, as it favors collaborative learning and the development of productive thinking of students, however there are concerns about the context of integration and the type of game that will be used.
