Abstract The bone is a vital and dynamic tissue, perfectly designed to perform basic functions. After a bone damaging, starts bone wounding , one of the most complex procedures to restore bone without scar formation through the coordinated action of osteoclasts and osteoblasts. In clinical practice , administration of antithrombotic drugs in postoperative orthopedic surgery patients effective for the prevention of venous thromboembolism . Besides antithrombotic nature, these medicines may affect the healing of bone defects .The present study focuses on effect of different concentrations of antithrombotic drugs in proliferation and differentiation of pre-osteoblastic cells MC3T3-E1. The induction drugs caused a positive impact on viability and multiplication. The differentiation markers exhibit variable results in the range of concentrations studied. Furthermore, my work studies the interaction of pre-osteoblastic cells with alumina ( Al2O3 ), a bioinert ceramic material with excellent mechanical properties. Because of the high hardness and strength corrosion of the alumina may be used in orthopedic and dentistry. I present a viability study and growth of pre-osteoblastic cells in the ceramic material as this criterion biocompatibility. The results show an increase in cell proliferation in both pore sizes (320 and 560 μm ) used with 75% porosity, with the largest increase occurring in material with larger pore size.
