Abstract This paper presents the results of a qualitative research in the context of the Modern Greek Language Course in F graders in a school of Rethymno, in which studied and presented the Teaching Methods development of critical literacy. Our research was based on the methodology of action research. The data (observation sheets teachings, texts students and transcripts of teachings) was a qualitative analysis based on four categories that emerged from them. From the results of our research shows that the teaching methods that foster critical literacy is the student-centered-exploratory methods, which are based on constructivist teaching model as they give the opportunity to the students themselves to discover knowledge and to address multifaceted.
