Abstract This master thesis is organized as follows. In Section 2, we present a derivation of the Bethe ansatz for the Lieb- Liniger Bose gas. We explore the limits of the model, from weak to strong coupling, providing insight on the various cases of excitations and interactions that commonly occur, discussing the model’s spectrum. In Section 3, we present a phase diagram for the model and give an in depth review of the Yang-Yang thermodynamics method, which we then use to extract results for the various limiting thermodynamic cases of the model, namely the different temperature and interaction strength regimes. In Section 4, we briefly discuss Generalized Hydrodynamics and its impact as a newly developed theory, presenting an application of it on the Lieb-Liniger model.
