Abstract

Technologies provide equal learning opportunities by acquiring a new dimension and entering the social and psychological life of students. In this light, if used wisely, technologies do not undermine but offer, support and elevate the learning process, so they become tools that bring about social change and contain transformational possibilities, which we must make the most of. The rapid spread and adoption of information and communication technology (ICT) is one of the forces behind the development of the "information age" and a "knowledge society". Such a transformation can transformation the way we live, work and learn. Nowadays, the rapid growth of technology and computers has affected our lives in all areas. Therefore, the education sector could not be left unaffected either. The benefits of using technology in education are obvious and its use especially today has become easier than ever and this is due to the widespread use of portable devices, laptops, tablets, smartphones, which are in abundance and offered in one wide range of prices, thus making them affordable for everyone. These devices are very useful tools for teaching children and strengthening their vocabulary, as they offer many possibilities. Also, it is now observed that the mass promotion of e-books has increased, even in the field of education. The different interaction they offer the child makes them more attractive, compared to printed books, but the value of which is not overlooked. It's a given that you can't feel like an e-book is like a book. Based on the above, the aim of this paper is to study the teaching of vocabulary while reading traditional books and e-books to preschool children, through a bibliographic review and a research proposal.
