Abstract In the first part we have studied different methods for the determination of biological parameters as: steroid hormone receptors, EGF receptors and proteins. Our results indicate that: different methods for steroid receptor measurements(ELISA and LBA)give the same results. For the membrane protein measurements we suggest the use of biuret method or the lowry after solubilization, and for the EGFR we propose the acidification(PH change) which reveal a greater number of receptors. In the second part we have investigated the role of six biological parameters in a series of 45 primary and metastatic breast cancers. The results showed that the six parameters can be repleaced with two factors: the first one indicate the hormone sensitivity of the tumour and the second the metastatic index. Our findings indicate that the primary tumours and their metastasis present similar biological status.
