Abstract In this thesis is described the synthetic methodology tha was chosen for the preparation of a series of dopamine (DA) analogues. The first group includes the synthesis of a series of analogues of 2-amino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,4-epoxy-naphthalene. These compounds can be considered as analogues of the DA-active compound ADTN. The second group includes the total diastereoselective synthesis of the tetracyclic analogue of Dopamine 2,3,6,7a,8,12b,12c-octahydro-1h,5h-naphtho[1,2,3,i,j]quinolizine with trans-cis fusion of the ring B/C and B/D respectively. The results of biological studies of these compounds are discused in basis of the relation between their structural characteristics and their activity.
