Abstract

The target of this work was the contribution to the ecotoxicology of organophosphorus pesticides via : a) the study of analytical environmental chemistry of a series of organophosphorus compounds and b) the study of important parameters for the environmental fate of three organophosphotus pesticides frnamiphos, fenthion and isofenphos, like liphophilicity coefficient, adsorption isotherms and hydrolysis. The detection limit of organophosphorus pesticides (and triazines) with the analytical methodology we used was lower the maximum allowed concentration (e.c.) in ground and potable waters. We also, could estimate and predict the environmental behavour of the studied compounds and of compounds of similar structure.
