Abstract	In 1934, the members of the Frankfurt School, leaving Nazi Germany, fled to America where they remained throughout the war. Consequently, an important part of their work was produced in America. With the outbreak of the World War II and the Holocaust, Antisemitism occupies a central place in their work. The aim of this thesis is to explore Adorno’s reflection, a prominent member of the Frankfurt School, during the exile years in America. His reflection on this subject is reconstructed through the study of three important works written during this period, Dialectic of Enlightenment, the philosophical work that Adorno co-authored with Horkheimer, the empirical research The Authoritarian Personality, and a text written by Adorno himself, Remarks on the Authoritarian Personality, reflecting Adorno’s positions on modern Antisemitism. Adorno’s conceptualization of modern Anti-semitism, its connection with the social structure of modernity as well as the subjective dimension of the phenomenon, the «forms of reaction directed towards the Jews» are examined. In Adorno’s perspective, modern Antisemitism needs be understood within the context of the total structure of society.
