Abstract	The purpose of this thesis is to approach the touristic phenomenon through the lens of workers in the field, and more specifically through the study of the organized labor union action. The study focuses on the struggles of Hotel Workers Union at the island of Corfu and on the life stories of its active members, from 1974 to 1990.
