Abstract The global fiscal and economic crisis of the last decade has caused sweeping changes in the economic and social life of the planet, while at the same time bringing about various changes in the dynamics of entrepreneurship. In the context of the Great Recession and globalization, companies faced new challenges that led to their transformation, which determined the prospects of business growth at the international level. In these conditions, greek entrepreneurship did not remain unaffected, on the contrary, it proceeded to structural changes in order to evolve and survive in the business ecosystem. The purpose of this paper is, through the literature review, to highlight the conditions that emerged under the pressure of the recent economic crisis in the environment of greek small and medium enterprises and at the same time to focus on the reform policies that were promoted to strengthen the position of companies in financial and business scene.
