Abstract

The aim of this academic present work is to show clearly the immediate influences from the poetry of Dionisios Solomos to the poetry of Giannis Ritsos.More specifically the purpose is to stand out, based on the common thematic,formal and linguistic themes that can be seen in the poetry of both poets, how Giannis Ritsos was influenced by Dionysius Solomos indirectly and how those characteristics of Solomos incorporated into poetry of Ritsos, but transfering it to a different time frame and interpreting with the new sociopolitical positions of his time. At the same time a part of this research is to point out the essential difference between the two poets.
