Abstract	A methodological approach of primary health care research and development, in Crete, Greece. The aim of the study was the development of primary healthcare in the local units of its delivery(I.E health centres). For thiw reason, it was needed to investigate the under development area. Applications of the study.A)new structures and functions in primary health care. B)computerized system of registration and statistical processing of medical records in P.H.C(health information system).C)study of risk factors for ischaemic heart disease in a defined population (epidemiological/cross-sectional). Results:-nosological spectrum of the community.-morbidity, mortality and health services indices.-education of the personell of the health center.-structures and functions of a new direction.-epidemiological profil of the risk factors for the ischaemic heart disease in a different population.
