Abstract

The dissertation studies the structure and the operation of P.I.S(pathology information systems). More preciesly, it is concerned with a specific category of PIS called IMRS-MKD(integrated information management and retrieval systems for medical data and knowledge). Main target is the information of a set of general rules and models for use in the design and implementation of computer applications in organization which have a similarity with the sector under research. The results of the dissertation are the following:A)general model for the PIS operation emphasis is given to the patient's information sub-system and the sub-system of diagnostic activities, B)models and proposals for the information of the PIS, C)a new IMRS-MKD model of PIS software applications, D)design, development and experimental operation af an application for the administration and search of patient's data, historical examinations and historical reports.
