Abstract

The present work attempts to analyze the work of the great German playwright and director Bertolt Brecht and to study how his techniques work in education. Initially, are presented the influences he received for the creation of the Epic Theater. Then, an analysis is presented around the techniques with which he approached the whole theatrical performance. In the course, the techniques of Theatrical Play and Dramatization are analyzed, which were utilized for conducting the research as well as ther pedagogical directions and goals. The main issues for the work are the techniques that he used as well as the way in which these techniques can contribute to the Theater in Education and to the social and political quests and awareness of the students of Primary Education. The research reveals that the issues raised by Brecht through his plays, as well as the dialectical form, contribute to the development of students’s critical attitude towards what is happening on stage and consequently strengthens their critical attitude to what experience in life.
