Abstract

The present Master Degree Project consists qualitative research, more specifically, a case study. This research aims to depict the technological equipment of a vocational high school in Chania, describe the ways ICT is utilized by technical educators and finally identify the factors hindering the integration of ICT into the educational process. The sample of the research is 11 technical educators of a vocational high school in Chania. Data collection was carried out through observation of the space and semi-structured interviews. The survey revealed that the majority of participants use ICT during the educational process, recognizing their positive contribution to the conduct of the lesson. Furthermore, the technological equipment and infrastructure for the comprehensive integration of ICT appear to be limited and outdated. Finally, the effectiveness and efficiency of teaching using ICT are limited by the inadequate or non-existent technological equipment in the classrooms.
