Abstract Education nowadays consists of a mosaic of different nations and cultures, which is a characteristic of greek society itself. Intercultural education aims for inclusion of foreign students in primary school, considering respect and social justice. This can be achieved through democratic education and inclusion, namely through active participation of all students in the learning process. Differential education is a method that activates the motivation of the disadvantaged children to participate efficiently in learning. Therefore, school effectiveness is enhanced whilst school failure and student outflow are reduced. School leadership plays an important role in foreign students’ adaptation and inclusion by configuring the appropriate conditions. This paper aims to investigate the opinions of teachers about the contribution of the school leadership of the country to this direction. The intention of the study is to discover the methods school leaders follow, in order to create an ambiance of democracy and social justice. Secondly, the aim is to investigate the strategies leaders embrace for the inclusion of foreign students in the school community. The survey was conducted among 96 teachers in total, who are occupied in primary schools.
