Abstract Time is an abstract concept that is difficult for preschoolers to understand. The perception of time is complex because it refers to events, phenomena, situations, which are in constant change and not to fixed points in the environment. The consolidation of time concepts is a quite complex process that is built in children slowly and gradually. Children can master time concepts through their experiences. For this reason, this research aims to evaluate the construction of the concept of time through experiential psycopedagogical activities in preschool children. Specifically, the following concepts are studied: order and succession of events, periodicity, duration, speed, timeline, but also the ability to organize time. The research sample was 62 children in Kindergarten, of which 32 were the experimental group, which participated in the teaching intervention, and 30 children, who were the control group, which did not participate in the intervention. Between the two groups, the results before and after the intervention were compared. At the same time, the researcher's diary and observations were used as tools for data collection. As it emerged from the research results, the understanding of time concepts is a gradual process, as both groups improved regardless of whether they participated in the teaching intervention or not. However, the experimental group appeared to perform better than the control group. For this reason, we conclude that storytelling and experiential activities can have positive effects on the understanding of temporal concepts.
