Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the difficulties that kindergarten teachers face while obtaining the role of school principal in single kindergartens as well as their educational needs in school administration. In this study, 20 kindergarten teachers of single kindergartens of Greece, that are also participants in the debate facebook team: “Kindergarten Administration”, where interviewed through online sessions that lasted about half an hour. The interviews were analyzed in categories. According to the teachers’ answers, though they had participated early on in their career at an early prepping school seminar, the amount of work they had to put in administrative single kindergartens’ school issues couldn’t be dealt with because of their lack of knowledge. They turned to experienced collegues in search of answers to their administrative problems. Their answers also indicate their educational needs in school administration, that they consider more suitable to be provided by the Administration Office of First Grade Education.
