Abstract The topic investigates the perceptions and opinions of school principals regarding the development and maintenance of a positive school climate in the Primary Education (P.E.) schools of the Municipality of Mylopotamos. This study aims to gain knowledge about the factors that contribute to a healthy and conducive learning environment. Purpose The study aims to assess how school principals perceive the impact of a positive school climate on students' academic performance, and social-emotional development. Methodology In the municipality of Mylopotamos in the prefecture of Rethymnon, in the heart of Crete, an important research study was carried out that aimed to investigate the opinions of primary school principals regarding the school climate in primary education. In total, ten principals of primary schools in the municipality of Mylopotamos participated in the study. These teachers, who played an essential role in the field of education in the local community, provided valuable views and experiences in understanding the school climate. Conclusions The findings of this research highlight the commitment of school leaders to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere where the well-being of students, teachers and parents is at the forefront of their concerns.
