Abstract In the present research study, we tried to investigate the contribution of training to the elimination of burnout of teachers in the Greek kindergarten. The qualitative approach method was followed, and the semi-structured interview was used as a research tool. A sample of the research study was 10 kindergarten teachers of semi-urban and rural kindergartens in the prefecture of Lassithi. The aim of the research was to find out that the training received by the teachers of Greek kindergartens, contributed to their professional empowerment, in order to reduce the effects of burnout. The conceptual approach of the research data was done with the method of content analysis. The results of the research showed that kindergarten teachers experience moderate degree of burnout, however they experience intense fatigue and stress at work. The most important factors that contribute to the burnout of kindergarten teachers are the problems of the infants' behavior, the relationship with the parents, the job insecurity, and the relationship with the head of the kindergarten in which they serve. Satisfaction with the training programs they have attended does not seem to be enough, and they feel that they need more support in their work from psychologists and sociologists, to be able to eliminate the daily stress at work and respond to it with more efficiency.
