Abstract The present study was conducted in order to study the achievement goals of university students in accordance with their anxiety levels, their self-esteem and their academic achievement. In this study undergraduate and postgraduate students were compared. For the purpose of this study a questionnaire was created which consisted of the demographic section and three scales: STAI for anxiety, RSE for self-esteem, AGQ-R for achievement goals. The questionnaire was created and spread online. The sample included 183 university students, of which 111 were undergraduate and 72 postgraduate, during spring semester 2021. The participants filled the questionnaire by selecting the answer which was more representative for them. he data that were collected and the results after the appropriate analysis show that there is no important affect on achievement goals from neither of the factors examined in accordance with them (anxiety, self-esteem, academic achievement). The gender as well as the age do not seem to influence achievement goals either.
