Abstract The research conducted in this paper aims to examine teachers' views on the use of digital tools in the teaching of literature courses, the factors that influence their use, their pedagogical value, the suggestions that will contribute to their more effective use and the views of teachers' continuous training in ICT and digital tools and after the end of the B-level training. In addition, the independent variables (demographic data of participants) will be correlated with the dependent variables (degree and way of using digital tools in the teaching of literature subjects, etc.). A quantitative survey was designed for the needs of conducting this research. The sample of the survey are teachers who teach literature courses in secondary schools in the country. The sample was selected by snowball sampling. Data was collected by administering an individual completion questionnaire that included closed-ended questions and one open-ended question. The results of the survey showed that the majority of teachers are women, aged 41 to 50 years old, serving in public education and holding a postgraduate degree. According to the survey, it emerged that the digital tool most frequently used by teachers in teaching literature courses is presentation software, while it was found that they use digital tools more often as a means of presenting the lesson and/or students' work. The study also revealed that the factor that most influences the use of digital tools in teaching literature courses is the existence of adequate technological equipment, that the use of digital tools helped the teacher to organize the lesson in a more effective way and finally that the way that will contribute most to the more effective use of digital tools in teaching literature courses is the creation of modern educational software.
