Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the attitudes and views of employees and potential employees on the broader transition policy from higher education institutions to the labor market. In addition, this study is going to examine the phenomenon of education mismatch; and subsequently, the consequences that accompany it on an individual level as well as on the wider social development. On the occasion of the current conditions after the Economic Adjustment Programme period in Greece, an attempt is made to research the views of graduates and students of Greek universities regarding their professional status. More specifically, the aim of this research is to explore the views of education-mismatched, as well as employees’ in subjects related to their studies, regarding the connection of higher education with the labor market, the knowledge and skills provided to them compared to the requirements of the labor market, as well as the satisfaction of their archetypal expectations regarding the curriculum in which they have participated in.
