Abstract

In the context of the present research project, an interactive educational material was designed, developed and evaluated, using the methodology of distance learning for the subject of Modern Aesthetics, entitled "Knowing the Skin", addressed to students of the 3rd grade of the EPAL. In more detail, it was investigated whether the educational material designed and developed is consistent with the methodology and principles of distance learning, with the principles of Mayer's Multimedia Learning. It was also investigated whether the educational material is an easy to use and complementary training material for face-to-face teaching. The evaluation of the educational material was carried out using the qualitative research methodology by three experts in distance education and five secondary school teachers related to a subject area. For this purpose, 2 questionnaires with open-ended questions were created as measurement tools. The conclusions of the survey showed that the educational material is easy to use, works in a complementary way, is designed with the principles of distance learning and Multimedia Learning in mind, and also identified areas for improvement.
