Abstract |
The purpose of this specific research work was to design, implement and evaluate an integrated supplementary school Distance Education intervention, using interactive educational material and augmented reality applications, to teach the History of Orientation to students in the last grade of secondary education , the section "The Rehabilitation of Refugees". For the implementation of the educational material, the theoretical approaches on Distance Education were used. The H5P tools were used to design the training material, which were integrated into the Chamilo platform. An augmented reality game was also created with the help of the Actionbound and BlippAR applications. For the evaluation of the educational material, a qualitative research was conducted, with questionnaires as research tools, open questions, which were completed by Distance Education experts, teachers-philologists and students. The augmented reality game was then evaluated by the students. The results of the survey concluded that the educational material was in line with the principles of Distance Education and Analytical Curriculum design. Finally, it was described as interactive, pleasant and entertaining. In the first chapter, the definitions of distance education and school distance education are formulated. Then the role and characteristics of educational material in distance education are described. The West - Lionarakis taxonomy and Mayer's multimedia learning are listed. Augmented reality is then defined based on its main technological characteristics and the possibilities it offers in education. Finally, the aims of teaching History in High School are given. In the second chapter, the theoretical framework for the evaluation of the pedagogical use of augmented reality applications is presented based on Bower's theoretical model. Then a bibliographic review is made for the use of digital content in school distance education. The third chapter describes the research and development methodology of the digital educational material. Then the methodology of application and evaluation of this material is listed. The fourth chapter includes the results of the study of the educational material.
The fifth chapter describes the conclusions. The bibliography and four appendices follow.
