Abstract The disposition of artificial intelligence towards the "public" marked the beginning of a new era of significant changes, both in the realm of science and on a sociocultural level. A characteristic example is the artificial intelligence ChatGPT, which in its very first month of operation in November 2022 had interacted with 1 million users and within the first two months, these users had reached 100 million (Homolak, 2023). Undoubtedly, we are entering an era that will bring about not only changes in the field of science but also in modern society as a whole. The integration of new technologies into education constitutes a necessary and essential condition for the preparation and development of the necessary skills and abilities of the modern citizen in today's society. Enriching the existing educational system with the methodology of Educational Technology and the creation of a hybrid learning model can contribute to the development of digital skills, metacognitive abilities, communication and collaboration skills, as well as the development of fundamental science and technology skills, thereby eliminating phenomena of "digital divide" and the creation of social inequalities and discrimination among citizens of different speeds. More specifically, in the teaching of mathematics, the integration of new technologies into education has been the subject of study and research for many years, yielding positive results at all levels. However, the manner in which technology is incorporated into the educational process under pedagogical conditions without violating the basic principles of learning and teaching has become the primary goal of all research. The approach proposed by this study for the pedagogical integration of technology into the teaching of mathematics is the TPACK model by Mishra and Koehler (2006), according to which the proper integration of new technologies into the teaching of mathematics can be achieved by considering the interactions of Pedagogical Knowledge, Technological Knowledge, and Content Knowledge. Based on the TPACK model, educators or specialists tasked with designing remote educational materials in mathematics can achieve effective learning by combining technology under pedagogical conditions and vice versa. The questions that arise are: "How does the designer of remote educational material acquire this knowledge? Is this knowledge acquired gradually?" The answers to these questions were provided by Niess, Sadri and Lee (2007), who adapted Everett Rogers' (1995) innovation adoption model to the TPACK model, addressing the acceptance or rejection of new innovations in the teaching of mathematics. According to Niess et al. (2007), the five developmental stages for the integration of a new technology into the teaching of mathematics are Recognizing, Accepting, Adapting, Exploring, and Advancing. In the 4th developmental stage, educators begin to seek more ways to integrate technology into their curriculum as another learning tool. Therefore, within the framework of the 4th stage, of Exploring the integration of new technologies into mathematics education, following the TPACK model, this research focused on the design, implementation, and evaluation of remote educational material for teaching Ratios and Proportions in Mathematics for the 6th Grade.
