Abstract

The present thesis studies the best practices in the domain of education. The scientific bibliography presents rich material about the characteristics and the principles of best practices as well as their application in education, not only in national but also in international level. The best practices are based in innovation, in modern theories and approaches of learning, with the intention of the round cultivation and development of the student, leaving behind the traditional school. However, a comprehensive examination of school past features best practices that are ignored and are able to offer in the learning process. Some experienced teachers narrate their experiences and through them the similarities of the old best practices and today’s are shown. Simultaneously, there is a presentation of one best practice of the past, through the application of a pilot educational program of museum.
