Title Μελέτη οξειδωτικού δυναμικού αιωρούμενων σωματιδίων στην Αττική

Abstract This research study aimed at measuring the oxidative potential (OP) of atmospheric particles during the summer-time period on 2019, in the frame of a national campaign. Specifically, air samplers were collected on a daily basis (24h) in six cities and a background area. The oxidative potential is linked to numerous health effects and our target was to quantify the OP of these particulate matter. To do so, we used a semi-automated system (reference 21), which is based on a method known as the dithiothreitol (DTT) assay. We found that Ioannina, Thessaloniki, Xanthi and Volos had higher values of OP which means that compounds in these sites were more active.
