Abstract

Extremism and right-wing populism, friends, and enemies. The Golden Dawn and the Popular Orthodox Rally, characterized by the aforementioned typologies, are the main research subjects. Specifically, using the analytical tools offered by the field of study of the extreme right for the "identification of enemies", I identify the convergences and divergences of the above parties in terms of the composition of the "enemy" in their discourse. The study also serves to measure the size of the threat that these parties posed to the enemies under consideration. In the conclusions, the typologies are basically confirmed, while a large deviation appears in some enemies, such as other far-right parties and the mobilization of the base, despite the populist nature of both parties.
