Abstract	The field of aesthetic plastic surgery is characterised by need, scarcity and unknown horizons. The field has become a space of confrontations stemming from a variety of differences and conflicts, such as : a) personal appearance and the dominant model of appearance b) patient and the user of health services c) the absence of medical necessity and the enhancement of features d) the distinctions between therapeutic and biotechnological enhancement achievements e) the limits of health, disease and aging f) the manufactured product of perfection and the natural body g) health and consumption of medical products of perfection and the physical body h) the objectification or self-objectification and the body expressed through free will
