Abstract

This study attempts to list and analyze director Pelos Katselis’ occupation with Shakespeare’s work. We study theoretical texts, performances, acoustic performances (radio dramas) and reviews of the director. Moreover, we attempt a more general assessment of the director’s occupation with Shakespeare's plays from the point of view of the actor, the director and scholar. This study aims at contributing more to the study of the director’s theoretical work, but also to the conversation with regards to Shakespeare’s reception in Greece during the 20th century.
