Title Δικαιοσύνη και συναισθήματα : Η περίπτωση του Τζων Ρωλς
Alternative Title Justice and sentiments : The case of John Rawls
Author Ζερβακάκη, Φανουρία
Thesis advisor Πάνος Θεοδώρου
Abstract The political philosophy of Rawls is dominated by the concept of social justice and a sense of justice. It is based on the concept of Rousseau's social contract and is inspired by the rational character of Kantian. This connection of the sense of law with the proper reason is of particular interest to the justice as fairness of Rawls. The philosopher asserts that the sense of law presupposes our entry into the original position where the principles of justice will be determined. In order to preserve the well-being of the whole over the adoption of principles serving private interests, it invents the veil of ignorance that characterizes the members entering the original position. The lifting of the veil and the entrance to the complete theory of the good of Rawls is dominated by the stages of moral development that make the members of society capable of realizing their moral character and choosing them during their lifetime in their collaborations with other people. But is the theory of Rawls formulated strictly by rational criteria or is it distinguished by some sentimentality?
