Abstract Access to education is an inalienable right of every human being. Although equality, respect and the provision of opportunities are fundamental rights of education, nowadays these have been eroded due to modern society‟s changes. The population movements and the immigrants in our country highlighted the gap between the educational system. School and education system seemed unprepared to face the new reality. So, nowadays teachers need to manage these changes in order to provide to all students the appropriate skills to evolve. The redefinition of educational policy leads to response to react at any need that may appear within the educational environment in future. According to the new data, the shift towards intercultural education provides a solution to problems that leads to meaningful learning. This thesis is an attempt to highlight the ability of modern Philologists to respond appropriately in a multicultural environment. In particular,the existence of intercultural training, the attitudes of teachers on issues related to diversity, whether the methods applied serve not only the natives, but also students from different cultures. In order to highlight the above, a survey was conducted through a questionnaire. Theresults of the research highlighted the importance of educational programs related to Intercultural Education, since the participation of teachers resulted to better performance. Furthermore, the results showed the need to change educational process and adapt the new data. It also highlighted the shortcomings of teachers in this field. Finally, for further analysis of the results, the questions examined the views of the course‟s design, the educational material, as well as the relationships with the diversity and effectiveness of the teachers.
