Abstract In the following text are included: a) a brief account of Kant's theory concerning schematism and schema, as this theory is presented in the Critique of Pure Reason and especially in the chapter "On the Schematism of the Pure Concepts of the Understanding"; b) a brief account of Heidegger's interpretation and critique of the afore-mentioned Kant's theory, as they appear in Heidegger's treatise Kant and the Problem of Metaphysics; c) and, as a conclusion, a brief account of similarities and differences between Kant's and Heidegger's theory concerning schematism and schema. As far as the differences are concerned, emphasis was put on Heidegger's critique and especially on the issues of the importance of the chapter on schematism, of Kant's shrinking-back from the transcendental power of imagination and the relation between temporality and transcendental schemata.
