Abstract

In the context of this master’s thesis was created digital educational material on the topic of online formative assessment tools, to be used in an asynchronous distance learning environment, and to be evaluated in terms of its content, suitability and use. The content of the educational material was not based on any existing textbook or course, but is a result of research on the support of formative assessment by online tools, which proved to be particularly complicated. This research resulted in the utilization of the findings for the synthesis of new material, but also the creation of new original material. For the creation of the material, the principles of designing educational material as defined by the theorists of the field were utilized. The material was designed using the online interactive content creation tool H5P, and integrated into the learning management system Chamilo. The educational material was evaluated by experts in distance learning. The survey was qualitative, with deliberate sampling, with open-ended questionnaires, while qualitative content analysis was used to process the data. The results showed that the educational material is characterized as user-friendly, interactive, comprehensible and designed according to the principles and methodology of distance learning.
