Abstract This thesis was conducted in the framework of the Postgraduate Program "Theory and Practice in Preschool Education" of the Faculty of Preschool Education of the University of Crete. This study was designed to contribute to the teaching of History in Primary Education. Specifically, this study presents an indicative proposal in primary school children, based on the lives of women in Minoan Crete. This proposal is a theoretical approach designed to help elementary school children understand key elements of the History lesson. In addition, this approach combines the fields of Museum Education and New Technologies with that of History. The thematic "Life of Minoan Women in Crete", on which the study is based, has been chosen because children of this age have experiences that can help them understand and learn about the subject. The occupations of women of modern times have many similarities to those of Minoan Cretan women. Therefore, it is easy for children to participate in the learning process by expressing ideas and opinions based on their own experiences. Also, the topic was considered worthy of study, as it may lead children to understand the value of women in society and thus contribute to the fight against sexism. This study places particular emphasis on constructivism. Thus, the teaching proposal proposed in this study aims to extract knowledge from the children themselves. The teacher guides to a degree and, after creating the appropriate ground, children interact with each other, discuss and draw the same conclusions themselves, thereby bringing knowledge to the fore. This type of teaching is focused on the student. So, the teaching is adapted according to him and his abilities. Concerning Museum Education, this proposal sets out an illustrative way of guiding children of the first class of Elementary School, to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, based on constructivism / constructivism. The teacher guides the children to the various museum exhibits related to themes surrounding the Minoans. The goal is for the children to know some basic things about the women of Minoan Crete, through their active participation in the process. As for New Technologies, this proposal also focuses on the use of Scratch, an educational software. Many applications, whether educational or entertaining, are easily created through the Scratch platform, which is a fairly simple programming language. One of the great benefits of Scratch is that it doesn't require complex programming skills to build an application. As a result, Scratch is a very powerful weapon in the hands of the teacher in order to make the lesson that is most interesting and fun for the children. So in this proposal, an educational game is presented, which is implemented in Scratch and is used as a tool for evaluating the students' knowledge of Minoan life. So, through various activities that take place in the classroom and through the tour, the children will have the necessary skills and will eventually be invited to play the game created by Scratch on the life of the Minoans. So using basic play elements, in conjunction with elements of Minoan History, seeks to increase the children's interest in being able to gain more knowledge in the proposed way, compared to the traditional teaching method. Children will be substantially evaluated, without realizing it themselves, since this activity will be given to them as a toy. Thus, children without anxiety and without feeling judged will respond according to what they have understood.
