Abstract The purpose of this research is the design, implementation and evaluation of interactive educational material on the development of Algorithmic thinking through distance learning education with the use of Makey Makey educational tool and the flipped classroom technique. The flipped classroom technique belongs to the category of blended learning. The students first studied the educational material from distance, and then they returned to the classroom and applied what they have learned. They used a visual programming learning environment and a tangible interface. The implementation of the educational material, was made with two main combinations of educational tools. Initially, the study and presentation of the educational material was carried out through the Chamilo platform with material designed mainly with the H5P tool. Students’ application was carried out through the Makey Makey board which was programmed with Scratch visual programming language. The design of the educational material is being bound by the principles and methodology of distance education and has been created according to the principles of Multimedia Learning. The evaluation of the educational material was carried out with two surveys. It was initially assessed as to whether it was designed according to the principles and methodology of Distance Learning and the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. This evaluation was made by three postgraduate students of the MSc program titled "Educational Sciences" - Distance Education with the use of ICT (e-learning). The second research was carried out by ten 5th grade students who first studied the educational material and then evaluated it. The process of the evaluation data was made with Qualitative Content Analysis. According to the results of the researches, the educational material is interactive, easy to understand, attractive and pleasant, while it is designed according to the methodology of Distance Learning and the principles of Multimedia learning.
